The United States in 3-D

We're now in full swing in our map skills unit, some of which includes learning the major rivers, lakes, and mountain ranges of the United States. The kids spent two days last week identifying and labeling these geographical feature on their maps, but the final step was the most fun. We used three dimensional materials to make them stand out including macaroni, puff paint and blue glitter glue. The results were bright, colorful and well done. Check out one example below.
